GRASS ROOTS the MOVIE
bolexbrothers, a seasoned award winning film animation company . Based in Bristol, England, bolexbrothers was formed in 1991 to make Director Dave Borthwick’s first feature film “The Secret Adventures of Tom Thumb” which won 17 awards from Film Festivals around the world. The next decade was spent making TV commercials for clients like Coca Cola, Budweiser, Lego, Kellogs (pre-Phelps) and Reebok as well as producing several award winning short animation films. In total bolexbrothers has won over 60 international industry and festival awards for its productions.
The ‘house style’ is stop motion model animation with a slightly dark realistic look. Using the considerable animation film production skill base present in Bristol ( thank aardman) allows bolexbrothers to continue experimenting with animation film making to the highest standard. Since 2003 bolexbrothers has returned to its roots and has focused on the production of feature films. It was Co-Producer of “Magic Roundabout” aka “Doogal” (2005) and has been engaged in the production of “Grass Roots” since 2003.
